The Greatest Of These Is Charity

The last two days the Lord has shown me through His words that one of the most important parts of salvation, Christianity, or living a Christian life is about love. I am so glad that He loves me enough to remind me that nothing else really matters quite as much, especially in the chaos of daily life. Learning how to love and live the benefit of charity within our walk to please the Lord helps us throwback unwanted interference’s within our life. However, it takes some consciousness of being on top of our actions. (Will explain below)

We want our life to be an example to others who are around us, and those who have not decided to follow the same path that we have. We want to show them that it is our Christian nature to love, even when it is hard. Generating love to others is what we can do that gives them clarity of the Lord’s graces.

The Bible tells us that one of those important realities of Christianity is the profound love that becomes a part of our Christian inheritance.

“And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity (love).” 1 Corinthians 13:13

The first part of Corinthians tells us that charity rules over tongues of men and of angels. It rules over prophecy, mysteries, and all knowledge, and it even rules over faith. Here is what it says about faith- “and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. (Chapter 13: V 2)

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, and then in the fifth verse…it states “is not easily provoked.” Part of Verses 4 -5

The latter part got my attention this morning when my hubby cut my Pomeranian’s hair. (You will find that an honest confession is good for the soul, simply because the Lord knows it anyway.)  I got a little out of balance, and had to seek forgiveness, as I want to have the same spirit at home, as I do elsewhere.

This entire chapter will help any person  realize how important love is in  our daily life, and show them how to get to the Promised Land in heavenly places when they put it into action.

The World of Politics – Not Heavenly Places!

Looking around us in the world today, we can see that some Christians appear to be walking afar off. They seem to be ignoring Christ’s instructions for what a total Christian life represents. When we look inside the political arena, we see so much discord, hate, boastfulness, while trying to destroy other people’s lives. Some of these people are known as Christians. I am not defending wrong doing of anyone, however, what these people do not understand, is that God will take care of the good, the bad, and the ugly things, Himself. He does not need anyone’s help. The old saying is that if you give a man enough rope, he will hang himself.

Why Am I Talking About This

Their performances do not radiate the title they are professing. Of course, their claim is that you cannot mix politics with religion. They do have a job to do; however, it should be without the external chaos they are presenting. My stance of this is, if you profess Christianity, your will be the same in any atmosphere, setting, conversation, or reporting you are in, regardless of mixing. You speak the truth; however, you do not try to destroy another human. You cannot have it both ways. You are either a Christian or you are not a Christian.

Oh yes, I know that love is hard in politics, and I know that God is loving, forgiving, merciful and kind. There is forgiveness however, the actions and reactions are disturbing  and is  bad for our Nation, and it is scary.

To summarize this post, I hope it is not scattered to you, I just want to emphasize that charity will work in any situation. It will lead us to truth, it will help us in fear, and it will help us to understand, and others to understand us.

Today’s verse: “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” 1 John 4: 18

Love Abides Forever,
