The Heart Is Often Deceitful

Galatians 6:7 ” Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Most humans do not like to admit that very often, we can become deceived within our heart. This can be in many ways of life about certain teachings, and ways of living, or a Christian life. We have a tendency to believe in other people and often we do not know them. We also have a tendency to keep our mind closed and say that everyone must follow his or her heart, instead of the Word of God.
It is also evident that the heart of a Christian with the wisdom of God will tell us the truth; it is up to us, to listen or not to listen to our heart.
As Jeremiah 17:9 states in the Word, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked, who can know it?”  We should be careful that our heart does not become as the scripture says once we confess our sins.
Of course, Jesus knows the heart of every individual, and we are not to judge anyone, ever. However, if we are to be more like him, we will try to remember this scripture that states:

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1

These words given through Jeremiah were written for our benefit today. Some of the circumstances that existed in the day of Jeremiah appears to be at work within the world right now. People are losing their morality, their conscious, their dignity, and do not seem to care. They are trying to deter the people who are trying to live decently. Anything is alright, and anything goes, but Jeremiah tells us that even the heart is deceitful. We all need wisdom for our soul.

Jeremiah 17: 5-11 (KJV)

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.
The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

A partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatchet them not; so he that getteth riches,  and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a fool.”

The main objective of this post, is to help us remember to careful for nothing as the scripture says, to try and know for sure the path we are taking is the right path to go to heaven.

The Lord knows our heart and he knows our intentions, but it is up to us to turn our path from the path of unrighteousness to live so that we will be rewarded our seat in heaven.

We must watch ourselves to be sure we are maintaining our good and profitable works. “God is always good.”

Titus 3:8
“This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.”

Philippians 4:16
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

God Bless until next time,
